more of my flowers...

These are some of my new flowers i made today. i just remembered how some of them looked from my floral design class and tried to make them. this was supposed to be a tulip, but ended up more like a garden rose...as many did!

my new outfit

This is my new outfit. it's hard to see, but it's cute. i got two other shirts too yesterday and perfume. it was much fun. i was a very effective shopper and kevin was proud of me.

we're funny....

So this morning, Kevin and I got up early and tried to actually get to church on time and early, especially since it was ward conference. Well, we got there about 5 minutes early, but the parking lot was already full, but there was no one out there. So we thought everyone was just early, which is unusual for our ward. So we got in there and the choir was singing. We sat down and asked the lady next to us if this was prelude. She said, “no, we turned the clocks forward last night. Church started an hour ago.” So, we strolled into sacrament meeting 55 minutes late, and we were there for the stake president’s 7-minute talk. So yeah. I felt kinda stupid. But Kevin just laughed. We were so proud of ourselves for being on time. So church went really fast today. Haha.

U hall....going buh-bye.

This is what DT looks like now, with only U hall standing. Everything else is all torn down, or big holes where the foundations used to be. yikeseriffic.

The room in the middle of the picture with no windows at all is my room last year...308.

So this is U hall, where I lived as a freshman and as an RA. This is the last tower of Deseret Towers, DT, to be torn down. Kinda sad.

So, Crystal and I got to hang out again last night. We went to the Spaghetti Factory...so yummy! we got to sit in the trolley, so we had to document it.

This is Gonch. Isn't she cute? This is our new car. We like her very much. wahoo.

My drafting studio

This is for my landscape assignment that was due today, so I started it yesterday, of course!
The picture above is mom and dad's house in maple valley.

This is my cute little kitchen, and my little table that is attached to the wall and swings up and down. Then I put the other drawing I had to refer to up on the wall. Worked out well, huh!

my cool flower I made

Okay, so I made this at one of my hall activities, and it was so fun and easy!

Step 1: cut three strips of paper, we used the 12x12 cardstock. cut one strip 1.5", 2", and 3", so you should have three strips of paper (each will be 12" long)

Step 2: cut into each strip, leaving a little more than a 1/4" from the top and cut narrow strips about 1/8" apart, throughout the whole big strip; on all three

Step 3: put the face side up on the 1.5" strip, put two glue dots along the edge, place a piece of about 18 gauge floral wire, my wire was about 18" long, in the glue dots, and roll the strip tightly around the wire. secure it at the end with another glue dot. Do the same for the 2" strip ...roll it right on top of the 1.5" strip, face up so it will show when you spread it out at the end. Again, secure it with a glue dot and then do the same for the 3" strip.

Step 4: put some glue dots around the base, and then use light green floral tape to wrap around the stem and tuck in the ends under the base, and then use the tape to wind around the wire to make it look like a stem.

Step 5: you can either "smash " the flower head into the table to spread it out, or use your fingers to separate the petals. the flower should be about 4" across.
