end of RA training...

So, Kevin surprised me and bought me a new shirt from Old Navy the other night. I think it's so cute. it's very comfortable and soft and long, so i like that. thanks Kev!

My new jewelry that i made from Roberts the other night. i think it looks a bit Catholic, but it was fun. you can click on the picture to see my cool earrings.

Autumn and I braving the latrine at the Army base. we only used it because she brought anti-bacterial gel. as i was walking out of there, a huge 1.5 inch long beetle came walking around the toilet. so gross.

Here they are again on a tough one, but they did well. It's going to be a good year!

a funny moment...

So, Kevin was being so nice and cleaning for the home teachers to come, and i heard him yell in frustration while vacuuming. he was almost done, and the plastic dust cup thing popped off and huge pieces of dust went everywhere.

You can't really see it, but the couch was covered in dust, as was Kevin, and dust was still falling in the air when i took this. he was pretty frustrated for a moment, and i just laughed, so he did too.

RA training

So, we started RA training again, and it's a whole week of long days, but it's good. I drove my first BYU van yesterday. it was quite fun. it was only an 8 passenger van.


We were in this big lodge that a family donated to BYU, and this is the treehouse that's inside. Kevin came up for dinner.

These are our new RAs, and we already like them a lot! Jacque and I are in the back and then in the front are Benjamin, Dustin, Kelly, Ashley, Tim and Aaron. It will be a good year.

our last week

Okay, so this is kind of a weird picture, but i thought it was kinda cool...water boiling. and those bubbles in those pots make weird water dripping noises when they come up to the top when it starts to boil....how do i know all of this?

Heritage's hot water was out for five days, so i had to boil water to take baths and to wash dishes. it usually took a few rounds of this to make it warm enough to bathe. but they turned it back on today, three days ahead of schedule....wahooo!!!

we also went on a date! we haven't been on official dates in awhile because it's hard to get away at nights with our jobs. so we had fun, and took this in the movie theater after it was over, and some people across from us freaked out from the flash. it would've been better if i hadn't chopped off kev's head, but he's tall, he's used to it..right? it was a fun week....!

my toes

My friend, Crystal, painted my toes the other night....she said she wouldn't come over to visit unless she got to paint my toes. so obviously....she came over. i haven't painted my toenails for several years...i think in high school! i never liked painting my finger or toe nails because it takes a long time and then you have to use that stuff to take it off...and i could never find that in my house. i don't own any now. but it's kind of fun to be pink again!
