a few visitors came....

In august we had a few special visitors come to visit Seattle:

First: we had kiki, booker, lincoln and maizie come to visit us! we love our cousins. Channing didn't know what to do with his toys getting taken away all the time...:) here he is running away with his batting tee. His cousins booker and lincoln are playing in the background. booker showing us his "light saber". he is a pretty intense star wars lover.

crazy maizie...she and channing had a great time playing alphabet train and blocks.

Channing showing off some of his climbing skills...but this is only elementary compared to his skills now.

So...since we had some serious Star Wars fanatics in the house...we had to have a star wars party to "get the force". So, we watched all six episodes of star wars that week....hmmm...:) so then yoda left some presents for the boys: yoda and darth vader sugar cookies, party decor, yoda and darth vader pancake molds so we could have star wars pancakes for breakfast, and all sorts of other star wars presents.
but the highlight of the day was when darth vader visited...:) he was in my parents' closet, and he had his darth vader outfit on with his red light saber and everything. the boys were pretty scared at first, but darth gave them their halloween costumes, so they were pretty happy. they also got blue light sabers to play with, but they had to only use them for good, or "they will turn red!" the boys were pretty concerned about their light sabers going to the dark side...:)
so...here is our very own Yoda! he even waddles a little as he walks, just like the real yoda! you can see Lincoln Obi Wan in the back ground. I am Emily Obi Wan Kinobi now...
Since we volunteered to have Channing be Yoda for halloween, much to Kevin's excitement...he's a true star wars fan too, Maizie got to be a princess, so here is her Cinderella dress that Darth Vader gave her. She reads a book about princesses and goes around saying, "Princesses are smart!" and points to her brain. but it sounds more like "smaht".

Yoda he is!

Playing with the plastic softball on the alphabet train

Playing with his cousins out in the pool and crazy water hose.

Channing spilling shampoo all over the kitchen floor. it smelled like "ocean breeze" or whatever it says for a while in the kitchen.

my first attempt at making petit fours...turned into a big goopy mess. kind of disappointing. but more will come!

Channing playing with his big bear and daddy!

Our latest news:

1. Kevin has been working on his mom's house every night for a month and a half now, and it should be almost done, more to come on that

2. Kevin applied to University of Washington for winter semester, more to come on that too when we find out! Good luck Kevin!

3. Channing spent 2 days in the hospital last week with the flu, but is doing better now.

4. Emily is coaching high school volleyball with my older sister for our second year now. My team is 2-0! last year we only won two games...:( but much improved this year!

5. Channing says, "Mama" and "Dada" and "more" and "whoa whoa"...still working on talking, but he is doing great!
