Wow!! Our little Callan is 1! So, he has to always have a UC Cal shirt that fits him, because we call him baby Cal. Channing can say "baby Cal" really clearly, and Callan sounds more like "Callie", but Channing definitely loves his little brother, and Cal is always in Channing's business :)
Mr. Cal is always trying to get a ball, and actually says, "ba" pointing to a ball, so i think that's pretty advanced for a one-year-old, i tell him so at least. But with Channing's speech delay, almost anything Cal says now sounds super advanced :)
Cal is finally getting up on the steps at the kindergarten playground, so he is really trying to be big!
the sweet griffin boys...
when i was in fifth grade, brian speers, a kid i hated, told my mom, who was our PE teacher, "Oh, you're "Big Lips' " mom?" what's funny is that i don't remember being called "Big Lips", but it's true :) so you can see that i've passed that trait on to my kids, and my husband tries to be cool too :)
This doesn't show it very well, but Cal can get his lip all the way out there...something i used to do when i was little too :) so did channing. some adult in my family used to tell me to get my lip back in or a bird would come poop on it :)
Here's channing's lip:
and the original "Big Lips": very attractive picture :)
like i said, kevin's trying to be cool and fit into the Big Lip club
woot.
We had such a fun time playing with our cousins the last two weeks, and channing is talking up a storm, which is great.
We have had a great summer playing at parks, going swimming, floating down rivers in tubes, going to the beach, and visiting with lots of family members. Thanks for the great summer, everyone!
